01

Specialization over a single answer

Research, challenge and evaluation have separate responsibilities. Structured outputs expose a thesis, its sources, uncertainty and review status; a chat transcript is not an investment control.

02

Data with provenance

A useful observation needs an origin and an as-of time. Stale or missing data should produce a visible exception. New data sources require licensing, coverage and quality review before incorporation.

03

Evaluation before promotion

Historical tests include a baseline, cost assumptions and held-out observations. Real-time simulation and broker paper activity produce separate evidence. No test is relabeled as live investor performance.

04

Versioned decisions

Strategy versions, run timestamps and decision journals allow review of what a system knew and which rules it used. New evidence creates a candidate change, not silent permission to alter a deployed mandate.

05

Constrained execution

Brokerage execution sits behind approved limits and reconciliation. Automation must handle rejects, partial fills, unavailable data and outages. Human operators need a clear way to stop new activity and investigate exceptions.

06

An honest implementation boundary

SumTwo has research and operational pilot workflows. Formal administrator reporting, company identity infrastructure, independent security assurance and compliance-approved production procedures remain distinct launch requirements.

Research and risk are different responsibilities
